Csangos received Hungarian citizenship

Csángók kaptak magyar állampolgárságot

Yesterday, on March 15 which is one of the National Holidays for Hungarians, I was fortunate to attend a very touching and beautiful celebration at the 1st District City Hall in the Buda Castle where about 100 Csangos swore their oaths and became Hungarian citizens.
Tegnap, március 15-én, nemzeti ünnepünkön az a megtiszteltetés ért, hogy részt vehettem a Budai Várban, az 1. kerületi Városházán tartott rendezvényen, ahol körülbelül 100 csángó tette le az esküt és kapott magyar állampolgárságot.

It was a touching moment for everyone when people from Magyarfalu (Arini), Pusztina (Pustiana) and other Hungarian settlements in Moldva, Eastern Romania could call themselves Hungarians, officially recognized. Amongst them were Laura Iancu poetress or Tibor (Csango) Bogdan, who is a staff member of Hungarian Maltese Charity Service and leading the Budapest studio of Csango Radio . (Celestin Lorent, founder of Csango Radio, living and broadcasting from Csíkfalu (Ciucan) in Moldva, just received the Lute and Pen Prize, given by the Association of Hungarian Journalists on Press Day held in the honor of March 15 each year.)
Mindenki számára megható pillanat volt, amikortól a moldvai Magyarfaluból, Pusztinából és máshonnan érkezett emberek hivatalosan elismerve is magyarnak mondhatják magukat. Köztük volt például Iancu Laura költőnő, vagy Bogdán Tibor, a Magyar Máltai Szeretetszolgálat munkatársa, a Csángó Rádió budapesti stúdiójának vezetője. (a Csángó Rádió alapítója pedig, a csíkfaluban élő Lőrinc Celesztin, az idei Sajtó Napja alkalmából Lant és Toll díjban részesült a Magyar Újságírók Szövetségétől)

After the ceremony, there was a small Csango fesztival at the beautiful, sunny Kapisztrán Square, where Csangos from Egyházaskozár, Iancu Laura, Mária Petrás and other performed. At the end, young and old were dancing together in circles - I have no pictures of that, because I was dancing, of course.
A ceremónia után a gyönyörű napsütéses Kapisztrán téren csángó fesztivált rendeztek, ahol felléptek többek közt az egyházaskozári hagyományőrzők, Petrás Mária, Iancu Laura. A táncházban kicsik-nagyok ropták együtt - erről nincs képem, mert persze én is táncoltam.
